Hi, I’m Frank Wakin, founder of NorthBay Home Tech Services. I’ve spent years working in corporate I.T. support, helping businesses and their users make technology work the way it should — reliably, securely, and stress-free.
I studied Information Technology Systems in college and went on to build a career supporting everything from small offices to multi-site networks. Along the way, I earned my (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) credential to help further my knowledge base of strategies I use to protect business & personal data in today’s digital landscape. Over time, I’ve developed a genuine passion for helping people, and I’m now focused on bringing that same professional-grade expertise into people’s homes.
Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in:
- Everyday tech support – troubleshooting Wi-Fi, computers, printers, and smart-home devices with patience and care.
- Email migration and setup – helping businesses move safely to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Data backup systems – building secure, automated solutions to keep files protected and recoverable.
- Identity and access security – managing user accounts and implementing measures that safeguard personal and company data.
My goal is simple: to provide dependable, honest, and local I.T. support for homeowners and home offices across Napa Valley and the North Bay.
